Hi Ronnie: I Can't believe
its been a week Andy's been home. Thanks for teaching him so much. I
can't believe how much he learned. Now I know its me that needs the
training. I can lunge him for exercise, but you can do it for
perfection. I appreciate that I can lead him, tie him, and load him,
etc. I'll try to keep the groceries to him and keep him growing and
shedding out....yes, the hair keeps coming and hopefully someday I can
send him back. I put it next to the photo I have on the wall of
you with Precious to see the similarities. You are an awesome trainer
and Central Florida is lucky to have you in the area.
Sincerely, Sue

Ronnie, I hope that
all is well with you! It seems that we have been playing phone tag
again, so I thought I would try to reach you on the net! I just wanted
to give you an update on Scooter and thank you for all that you have
done for us. I took him on a 10 mile charity ride for the Children's
Miracle Network on April 8th. I was nervous about taking him, but
excited at the same time. We starting building him up slowly, taking him
on "outings" and getting him familiar with the world. He has
proved to me that I am a lot more apprehensive of him than he is of
himself! During this time we have been trailored to several different
locations (loading is no longer a problem!), been exposed to traffic,
other horses and several noises. We registered into the
"medium" group in the ride, which was supposed to be a
walk/trot group. Much to our surprise, it was more of a trot/walk group!
He kept up great, despite trotting somewhere around 8 of the 10 miles!
He definitely loves to move now! He was one of the more "well
behaved" horses that we saw out there, and I couldn't have been
more proud of him! I can't thank you enough for all that you have done
for the both of us, I fall in love with him the more I ride him. Thanks
again for everything, hope to hear from you and see
you soon!!

Even though I no longer work for Ronnie, I have had a
number of things go on in my personal life, Ronnie had ALWAYS been
there!! I recently relocated to Colorado, I find myself still
thinking about some of our talks, and a lot of our training sessions!!
I cant get this horse whisperer out of my head. I stumbled
across his new web site and felt compelled to write something about him!
When I first watched Ronnie with his horses I was just amazed at their
unspoken dialog, this man gets inside their head and works with the
horses not against them.
I had the privilege to work with him for a short time, and I must say
I learned more from Ronnie that I have from any trainer in the 15 years
I have been riding horses.
I would recommend anyone who is having difficulties with their horse,
or even those who wish to refine what they have already learned to go
out there and see him in action, talk to this man, once you work with
Ronnie he not only improves your communication with your horse, but
somehow he gets inside YOUR head and changes the way you look at life.

A Great BIG Thank you RONNIE from SH Knite
Dancer!

Central Florida.
Letter 1/20/06 From Sandy Hall, Blue Feather Farm,
Ormond Beach, FL
Hello Ronnie: Gosh am I glad I got
pitched off Knite while trying to train him myself. It was not easy
trying to do it alone. As you know, I purchased him as a
weanling and had been training him myself until he was old enough and
grown enough to ride.
A Year ago January, I took him out for his
first trail ride and all was fine and dandy till I wanted to head home. Well a
broken shoulder and 2 surgeries later, and therapy, I am thankful to
have been able to bring him to you. Last May you had him in the Equi-Fest
Parade of Breeds as the lead in the parade The Arabian and it was
WONDERFUL. Only after him being with you for a week or two at best! I
laughed when I saw him "Hunker DOWN" when the audience
applauded. funny thing is that he has Movie Star Blood so I
really think there is definitely a Ham Bone in there. LOL
Well, since he has been with you
and trained as a horse should be, resistance free, we have BOTH have
changed. Working with you at
the Center with Knite has helped me tremendously. First, to overcome
any fears I may have sustained because of my "last Ride: and secondly,
I could see how you were training Knite and remember the things we had
gone over while he was there. Anyway, I am happy to say that Knite is home safe and sound
and we are doing very well in the round pen and on the property and to soon be out on the
trail for long day rides and traveling to new places.
I want
to thank you for all you have done for the both of us. You will see
us on the beaches of Florida someday and possibly on the horse trails in
Florida, North Carolina and in the distant future, Arizona. Thank
you, Ronnie for all you have done which is much more than just training a
horse... it's stepping up to the individual situation between the horse and
the rider. Thanks Again! Just have to Say what a difference a year
makes.
Happy Riding to you and to your students (horses and
people!) WE will be back for Tune-ups :)

Hi Ronnie: Remember, I told
you about having Thunder in training because he was traumatized
(LEFT PHOTO)? Here is a photo of the progress (RIGHT
PHOTO) in Thunder with
the training he is having with Ronnie Ford. I think you
can see the difference between the severe tied up techniques
of the guy who had him previously and the gentle
techniques of RF training through the fear vs. softness in Thunder's
eyes. Left photo is last Jan 2005 right photo is Fall 2005.
Needless to say that all is going well.

Subject: Josie Bar Bell
Hi Ronnie,
I was so glad to see your ad in Florida's Horse and Tack Magazine because
I wondered where you were but had lost track. I'm happy
to see that things seem to be going well for you.
The reason I'm writing is to tell you that I have a friend that
runs barrels on one of your horses. She's an appendix mare
named "Josie Bar Bell" and she is so nice! She's
quick & catty
and can absolutely turn "inside out". The girl who
runs her is
named Julie Townsend and she lives in Lithia. Anyhow, she
really likes her and has done well on her. I didn't know if you
knew you had any bonafide barrel racers out there.
This past summer my daughter, now 17, was reserve champion
out of 300 youth at our NBHA State Show and 3rd in the Open
Finals (out of 240 finalists, 940 contestants) with reins only on one
side of his head!! If she hadn't of flipped her reins over his
head
going around the second I feel like she would of definitely won
the
Open. She rode a horse that I raised and trained from a
yearling.
I've come a long way, baby!! But as green as I was I learned so
much from you. And I appreciate your getting me started on the
right path.
Just wanted to say "hi" and touch base with you. Take
care.
