If you've ever wanted to train your own horse and you were never really certain how to go about it or was a little worried about that first ride. This is a program we have developed for all "do-it-your-selfers"
We have the facility, knowledge and experience to make it a safe and rewarding learning experience for you and your equine PARTNER. As a professional trainer, it's very frustrating to get a horse riding so well that it's difficult to watch their owners have problems being able to ride and communicate with this now well trained horse. It's very simply because the animal has developed "my feel" for the horse and not it's owners. I actually had a prospective buyer once, refuse to buy a horse because, "he would
think stuff and the horse would do it". It was scarey to him. The most important thing you can do for yourself and your horse is to give him a "proper start". I'm always getting calls from people telling me "how smart their horse is". My reply is always the same thing, "that is a good, bad thing". It's a good thing if you know what to teach your horse and a super bad thing if you don't. We can help you give your horse a "proper start" and give you the ability to develop that fine line
of communication. If your horse is an older horse, this program will also help you give him a restart and a new lease on life.
Some of the things you can expect to learn is how to communicate with your horse without touching him. How your horse looks at things and why he does the things he does. Basically, how he makes sense of his world. You'll learn how to be specific with him and how to control his feet and get him to place them just exactly where YOU want them. How to control his shoulders and his hind quarters. You'll learn about your bit, how it works and how it works in the horse's mouth. Why horses have such a strong
motivation to learn about the bit, and how quickly they do so. We'll work on teaching you to "think ahead" of your horse and become the leader he deserves. How to be an "active" rider instead of reactive rider. Your horse will become a trained horse, "he'll wait on you" and for your decision on what you want him to do next.

Here's how the program works!
This program is only available to people that are committed to their horse and that are willing to work on their skills and the horse's skills. A contract will be required, stating that you will commit to a minimum of 2 months of training and you will agree to work with me and your horse 3 times a week. We have lighting and a schedule can be worked out to fit conflicts and time schedules. Your horse will be boarded here and will be on our feed program. We will give supplements but they have to be
pre-bagged. Any special dietary needs will be the responsibility of the owner. Feet trims and shoeing, Vet bills, etc. are also the responsibility of the owner. Haul ins will be considered on a case by case basis. Owners will be doing the bulk of the work with their horse and developing their feel for the horse under my direction and guidance. I will step in and ride where necessary but this is a program for YOU and YOUR horse.
The cost of the program will be 500 per month and extra lessons can be negotiated. Your horse will be available for you to work with at any time and it is encouraged that you do so. The cost for haul ins will be 400 a month. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
